wrong, Respect

Question by pumbaa: is it wrong for me not to respect my dad?

my dad has put me through a lot, he is the type who is kind in front of anyone, but one mistake when you are alone with him he blows up.
not long ago i caught him sexting, and basically having facebook sex with this woman he knows from work. she was asking him to run away with him ect. our family stuck together but i was wishing for them to divorce because he always does things like this. im sick of being the one who always finds out and tells mum, i hate seeing her break down, i just want this to be a thing of the past. but i just cant for give my dad, he is acting like his dad who none of has any contact with because of the way he treated dads mum. dad wont be sad when his dad dies, and i cant say i would be sad if my dad died, thats harsh but true.
every-time he says speak to me with respect, i tell him i have no respect for him, we both know it, but only i know its true, he tells me every time mum and him fight its about me. im sick of it.
i dont want my brother to end up like dad, i dont want myself to ed up like him, the one person i defy, e ended up the person he deifed
i have a lot of respect for people, but is this right for me to be feeling like this?
how would you cope?

Respect isn't a right,it has to be earned and it sounds like your dad hasn't earned yours yet...............
